As retarded as this title sounds, I think that this journal SHOULD actually mean something. I've been a very sick for the past couple of days and I was getting better so I decided to do some homework.

I've actually finished now and decided to write a journal entry before going to have a nap because I haven't done anything on dA in a while. For a sick person, I always find that I have weirdo energy bursts but then all of a sudden I feel like I need to sleep all of a sudden afterwards.

So I'll just try and hold out until the end of this entry.
Firstly, exams are over as of two weeks ago and I guess I'm happy with my results. I'm happy that I got an overall of 95% in my English, but that definently does NOT effect my writing on dA whatsoever. Oh , and by the way, I have got two more deviations on my computer, but my retarded iMac won't let me put anything on dA because apparently I need a new updated version of Safari.
Whatever. I'll just have to find time at school to put them on. I'll have to get internet upstairs on my PC before the summer holidays or I'm totally screwed with dA. I can't even fave deviations or add friends or anything. Just browse and write comments. So yeah, I'll get that sorted out soon.

Secondly, my english class has started this project where we have to develop a magazine and then try and pitch it to our teacher and the rest of the class. In my group there's...

- Me

- Sammi

- Vivs

- Ray Ray

- Humi
Basically, we wanted to make something totally different to what you would usually find on the shelves. I think it's called 'Neon', but I'm not sure, and it's a teenage girls magazine. Getting onto the point, we all have to write an article on anything of our choice and so I wanted to do something with meaning that will actually effect and get to you.
And so I decided to do an article on RED. For those of you who don't know what RED is, it is a global fund using big brands like Converse, Motorola, hp and Windows Vista, American Express, Armani, Apple, to raise money for people in 3rd world countries suffering from AIDS, Turberculosis and Malaria. It was created by Bono and Bobby Shriver to "empower customersts shop and do good at the same time".
It is NOT a charity, but a business model. It uses the money that we pay for the product and buys things like hospitals and pills for people suffering from the diseases.
And I quote, "YOU BUY THE (RED) STUFF. WE GET THE MONEY. BUY THE PILLS AND DISTRIBUTE THEM. THEY TAKE THE PILLS. STAY ALIVE."
The products don't necessarily have to be the colour red, but it's the product/model that counts. There are so many famous people who are helping to support this EXTREMELY worthy cause like Oprah and Joss Stone. Joss Stone is an amazing woman. She has helped RED in incredible ways. She is the first RED artist to contribute 100% of her proceeds from each copy of her music video sold on iTunes to The Global Fund (RED

"Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now" ft. Common is on sale on iTunes now.
I've only done a brief description of how wonderful RED is and what a difference it can make to people who really need help and support. You can honestly make such a huge difference. 'Nuff said.
